Microsoft only bid 31 per each share...Yahoo wants at least 40 in order to sell it.
What's your opinion on it? I am actually very happy as I think that these two companies should stay seperate so that they can continue to challenge eachother and grow.

I've also been hearing talks that Microsoft is going to offer more and try to buy them out for 40 per each share which is what yahoo wants, but no proof so far so we'll see what progresses in the future but for now they are seperate.

Yap. I know about this news. Others forum already talk about this issue even at local or international forum. Even some blog also talk the same thing. Yap, Yahoo need at least 40 for their share. I think, even microsoft can provide that 40 per share, Yahoo will conter and said 50 per share. Hehe..i think they just want to play with microsoft because not interested to sell it microsoft.

It was always known that Yahoo was going to reject Microsoft offer. Yahoo thinks that the present offer unvalues its company and they are looking for some $40 which Microsoft think over values Yahoo.

I do not think that Microsoft would offer Yahoo $40 per share as it would make them borrow some $12billion which can raise alarsm to their own share holders.

I don't understand why Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo.. It's just bunch of crap with just a well brandable domain and name. I also wonder WHY THE HELL Yshoo rejected the bid..

^^ You sir are an idiot. Yahoo is one of the biggest sites on the internet. Microsoft would be crazy not to buy them. It is a great site for microsoft to invest in second to google of course.

I guess yahoo has missed a great opportunity by reject microsoft's bid. I felt that even $31 was a bit high. Yahoo should have grabbed it with both hands. i wonder what will be the next move of microsoft?
