Is it true that Yahoo Site Explorer is far more better than Google Search in checking the backlinks of a website? Why is this so?

i dont think that is the case, atleast that is not how i see it.. google takes the lead.

I think Yahoo Site Explorer is definitely better that checking your links in Google search as it shows more results.

if you are going into the quantity of links being displayed then you can go to yahoo site explorer but for the quality then go for google

yea, google might have less but whatever you find would be more useable than just finding many things having to go through the trouble of finding what is good and what is not.

less does not always mean better, and vice versa.. , i still google is better, but that is because it feels simple in some way.

simpler doesnt always mean better either, and i really think it depends on who is intending to use it.

true, some people might find one better than the other, but in this case i think many would prefer google.

i dont think that is it, yahoo has been top for a while, and it really depends on what people used first and what they are used to.
