I don't think Yahoo cares to much about the search anymore. They have openly admitted that they cannot compete with google. They really don't need to, I don't think.

Well they are ranked #1 in Alexa and many people have yahoo set as their homepage... so I think that they're doing very well from advertisers. When you want to play a game online, what's the first place you think of? Yahoo makes plenty of money off of advertisers alone. Let's not forget about all of the other services they have.

I choose Yahoo because I like the set up. The home page is inviting to the eye and easy to navigate. I think they're going to contend in the running as far as website's go, but we all know that Google is going to be at the top.

Yahoo is my alternative search engine. I visit regularly its news and articles. I also play its online games and play its music. More importantly, I have been active in its country based auction and classifide ads.

I don't think yahoo is only a search engine, they have a huge network I still use a lot: news, auctions, email, chat, groups, shopping, etc.
They aren't the No.1 Search engine, but they do in everything else.

i never used yahoo to search at all, but the other services they offer are still good, like groups and email and messenger etc.

they will still be around doing everything as they do now, and many of their services are still good enough even if their search engine is not as good as google’s.
