Not much of a future left for AOL but even with their dwindling user base they still have a pretty good number of users.
In order for Yahoo to make up any ground on Google, I think this is a must do for them! If I were Yahoo, I would push this deal through fast and also pursue partnerships with companies like the Opera browser, myspace and a few others. |

Even though this will never happen, (AOL and Google are as tight as super glue) is think it would be a good deal. They both really have the same goal in terms of user services and such. This can seen with the way their home pages so closely match each other.

It is survival of the fittest. Merging is one way to survive. Holy alliance is what is commonly happening. We see Yahoo forging a tie up with Microsoft, Google with Firefox. Merging of AOL and Yahoo is a possibility.
