Why do you use Yahoo to search? Have you always used it or did you switch for some reason?

It's a matter of convenience for me and sometimes work..
Before I had firefox I would use whatever search engine was convenient. If I was in the midst of reading yahoo mail and needed to search, I'd use it. Or I'd use msn if I was on my homepage becauase that was the default. Today I have the google window on my ff homepage and use google mostly but when researching for my writing I often use webcrawler because it searches google, yahoo & MSN so I sometimes search google first and then search another for a different point of view. I started off using webcrawler years ago by recommendation when I first got online (in 1995) and then used go.com for ages. Google just sorta crept into my habits and I like the way it works so I tend to use it now out of habit and because it generally gets me what I'm looking for.

as for yahoo search, sometimes yahoo search yields a target results directly rather than google, in google some of the top are just build or MFA sites.

Hi,
I use yahoo mainly for the purpose of mailing. In yahoo this service is appreciable with good speed. And the other links like current affairs and other information on the home page are really informative. I also use yahoo to search some topics for better results. Last edited by josh123 : 06-18-2007 at 03:03 PM. |

I hardly ever use Yahoo search unless it is to check the ranking of my own websites in their search engine results. I also think that the results that they return for searches are a lot worse then that of Google.

i have always tried using google. but for a change i switched over to yahoo. but i could see only limited searches were offered as results. it restricts the user. it sometimes prove better then an extensive search as it does not waste time.
