I haven't checked it out but definitely will look into it. I might help me with some research I need to do for my articles.
I use ask.com or askjeeves.com and wikipedia often but this looks interesting.

yes, I use wikipedia constantly although I know it can't be taken as 100% truth since anyone can add to it. It's great for research.
Helium Knowledge network seems to want to put info out there too but there's a lot of half written answers from people just trying to get clicks (they share adsense revenue on answers)

if you would like to ask something say pertaining to surveys, lots of answers will have a referall url in it, it is allowed lol, i hope answers team can get rid of this.

I have stubled upon Yahoo answers a few times in Google searches, ironically. However, I didn't find them all that great, because the answers were often broad, sometimes off-topic, and usually unsourced.

I have used it few times and i think its their way to advertise as they can increase the the number of users by doing so.

yahoo answers are very helpful sometmes i asked questions related to all things even some personal matters and got a really satisfied answer.

i have queries many a time and have got the answers. but i was not aware that they were given by the users. i thought that the search engine provided me the answer.

Whenever I have general doubts or want to clarify something, I goto Yahoo answers, the people over there are doing great job by helping others. It is one of the best service provided by Yahoo.

It is really good.
Not only can you ask questions but also you can choose the best answer. It has received a massive response in a very short period.
I would rate it better than ask.com!
