In terms of search for me, yes, they beat yahoo and the simplicity of the site, but in some other terms like layout and some information and tools like messenger, yahoo eats them up.

I like yahoo overall.
I like yahoo mail, prefer yahoo messenger and love their tools like the photo album, photo mail and yahoo groups.

you may be speaking only for the people in Phils. Skype is gettting a lot of hype, GTalk and MSN and AOL are widely used outside the Phils... plus, YM here is getting a lot of flak for several reasons so i won't be too sure about "yahoo eats them up in terms of IM tool"

Will agree with you on this one Dana. I use Yahoo a lot, except for the search.

I think this depends on what you're searching for myself. But, on topic, Yahoo's new look and feel is quite a bit different in my opinion.

I am going to ahve to say no for one reason I like the simplicty of google. I hate all of that information buzzing around it is to much for me to grasp at one time. I mean but if that is your thing yahoo is looking great these days.
