I've been sellling websites on ebay. Basically write up all the great stuff about your site and set a price you want to sell for. People on ebay though are more interested in sites already making money so if yours is not then I would try posting in forums like this or DP, Sitepoint etc.

On ebay there is a way to search for auctions that have ended and you can do that to get an idea if your site will sell or not. Look for similar ones. If you don't want to sell your site for too cheap then make sure you set a minimum bid or a reserve price, that way it won't sell for less then you are asking.

I just sold one for $1,500 on DP not too long ago. Sitepoint is a good place as well but you have to pay to post in the Marketplace. I find that to be pretty lame.

- Domain name and amount of time it has been owned and time until it expires.
- Location where domain is
- Hosting information
- Will you help with the transfer?
- Age of site
- Traffic stats (provide screenshots and any other proof)
- Income
- Income source
- Asking price or if it is an auction will you offer a BIN?
- EDIT: Also, where does the traffic come from?

This is what I usually include.

wow! so the age of the domain does really matter in Search Engine Optimization huh? that's a pretty lot of criterias to match. why are they interested in the age of the site and the location of the domain. i understand the interest on the income and the traffic, but the age? boink!

Yes, the age of the domain is said to play a crucial role in getting out of the sandbox. I don't know how valid that is, but it seems to hold some truth with some of my sites.

Domain location matters because some people don't have accounts with some registrars.

That's nothing.

This one is selling for $10,000, and I saw one sell for $50,000 just a few weeks back.
