Post Favorite HTML Editor

Whats your favorite HTML text editor? Mine woukld be either Notepad++ or Macromedia Dreamweaver. Whats yours? And why.

hi

Well basically mine favorite are NOTEPAD and DREAMWEAVER.I use notepad coz its so simple for use and to edit the html codes.and on other hand is dreamweaver which is the king of the HTML coding world.Where you can check the result for your coding direct.

I hear a lot of dreamweaver but never tried it. Why do people us it over frontpage? You should try FP 2003, awesome stuff.

people use it over FP because for them, it has better functionality.

i use notepad or textpad

I usually just use Notepad. Not that I'm any expert with HTML, but usually I can figure out how to get the desired effects, and I like the freedom.

For me, After investing into Stido Mx suite I use a combination of Dreamweaver aswell as notepad.

I used to quite like a program called NVU, but it muffs up php so I cant use it any more :(

one of the reasons why i use textpad is because i could easily type the programming scripts and i have better control on the code spacing, which means it'll be easier to understand. FP has this "webbot" scripts inserted.. got a lot of embedded codes and everything which turns me off. IMO
