I am designing a 800X600 website. My boss says that it should be left aligned in the browser window (with empty space on right) as all the big companies have it like that, and i feel that it should be center aligned (with empty space on both sides) as it looks much better. But he is not convinced. Any suggestions? Any logical/technical reasons for doing so?
Thanks Logan |

Hi Logan
It doesn't really matter if you align the site to the left or to the center as long as when you view the site at 800x600, all the content should be displayed. There should be no clipping on the left nor right. Personally, I'd rather have the site centered so that when someone with a higher resolution setting views the site, there will be equal empty space on the left and right. |

It really makes very little differance. I think it's personal preferance, and depends on what you are displaying and how it looks.
Mainly it's all to do with presentation, if it looks good and easy to follow it's great |
