Stat counters are very useful in analyzing the traffic, your site gets.. So you can make any changes after seeing your stats... And also if your counter reads more value then visitor may be interested in exploring more of your site..
What you say, stat counters are really useful? |

I have once use stat counter to my Search Engine Optimization (Search Engine Optimization) Blog when I participated in precharge contest, but then when I have converted the blog to Search Engine Optimization, i just check it using the awstats, latest visitors on my host.

In my case I heavily rely on the web stat programs from my web host provider. They are quite useful as you get an idea of your traffic sources and the surfing pattern of visitors on your website. Of course I also find the built in site stat of CMS programs helpful.

The stats that my site generates from running Pay Per Click programs are also helpful aside from the built in site statistics generated by AwStats. For my blog site I also rely on its stat plug in feature which allows me to monitor site visits and surfers interest.
