i am also using O&O because it is fast, i have used diskeeper at some point which seems better than O&O but slower, so it depends on what you care more for, speed or preformance, but both of them are faster than the default defragment tool.

I currently use PerfectDisk on my computers its an excellent defragmenter it also will tell you what you need to defrag instead of just having to defrag your whole computer. Raxco Software Windows Products - PerfectDisk 8.0

I use Diskeeper 10. I prefer to use it since it can do multiple de-fragmenting at a time, and I find it lighter on the system resources.

I use Vopt: Vopt

This is a defrag tool that has been around since the old DOS days. It's very lightweight and does a fantastic job! Plus, they just came out with a version which is Vista compatible.

I've never had a need to try anything else.

i guess i could give it a try, but being around since dos sounds like it is really really light and puts a question about how good it really is. atleast if they have not upgraded it much

i am just using the default, never thought about changing it because i hardly ever defrag though i hear it would boost the preformance.

As far as I am concerned, longevity in a piece of software is a big plus. These guys have been at it longer than windows has been around.

Like any piece of software these days, they are constantly improving their product.

depends on how much they’ve tried to improve their program, but sure normally, the longer they have been around, the better.
