well then hamachi is probably the best program one could get, i use it very much when playing with my friends, Hamachi : Stay Connected

it creates a virtual lan between you and whomever you allow in your channel, just remember to disable windows firewall from it as it might annoy it a bit. other than that it even overrides router problems.

i had problems connecting with my friends via ip with generals zero hour because of my router, and this program fixed that, thanks for the link :)

really a nice program, and it is also free (if one does not intend to buy a premium account ofcourse). I wonder how you found it, searching google never gave good results when i tried searching for something like this i remember.

i dont think i would be using it for gaming much, but the file sharing function is nice, and i also noticed that one can put a password to protect it from others, which means i can share private pictures with my friends without others having to see them.
