Those behind Skype are brewing something exciting. This is the free internet TV. Beta testing is currently ongoing. You can be a lucky tester if you get a token from a beta tester. Prior to that, you have to register at Joost.

I haven't heard of this service until now. Thanks for the link.
For those of you that are curious on how it looks like, here's a screenshot: http://regmedia.co.uk/2007/01/17/joost_epg.jpg It looks pretty good, however, I wonder how many channels they are going to offer, and how good the quality will be. There are already some Internet TV programs out there, but most of the channels they offer either look bad or the content is crap. |

sounds like it is good and i hope it is better than the others out there, but if you say its like the people behind skype then it should be good. the ones with free tv that are already out just find free links of tv and "recorded news" and add them in their program which you must pay for once. and many channels can stop functioning at any time.

i applied for beta testing and hoping that i would be one of them that get to test it. free internet tv has been until now just some stupid trash as it never was "really" tv seen using internet but a few useless channels. since skype is behind this then it must be good.
