I have a feeling that zune is gonna fail because the ipod is too famous and zune is basically like the ipod but with a few more add ons.

Nahh... the iPod is too high up on the mountain for Zune to be able to catch them. While the Zune is not going to take over it is still good enough to take a little bit of the market share. Zune is going to be the number 2 best seller behing the ipod.

I saw the Zune in display yesterday at some store. It looks better than the iPod, but no one seemed to care about it. I know a lot of people who haven't even heard of it. And some people think that it hasn't be released yet. Microsoft has to advertise it more, and perhaps even lower the price, in order to compete with the iPod. However, IMO the Zune is better than the iPod, even with the $250 price tag.

IMO the Zune is better, but Microsoft hasn't advertised it as good as Apple did. And also most people already bought an iPod, and I doubt they will switch over. They might be able to get new consumers though. If they lowered the Zune to let's say $220, maybe their sales would go up significantly. And a few extra TV commercials should do the trick. I know some people who still think the Zune hasn't been released yet.

they indeed need to advertise more, i have not seen it or heard about it before, so im a little clueless like many others which just proves that microsoft have not been doing their work right.

ipod has the first hand in that market, however microsoft could win this easily if they try harder like everyone says.

i think mircosoft will win in the end, though their product is new, they are not, and their brand is kinda trusted although many people say bad thing about them when something goes wrong with windows
