Default Do you pay for software?

Do you pay for software? If I can't find free software, I will usually use trial software. I rarely buy software. Only if I use a trial program and it is very good do I pay for it. I just need to much software to spend all the money it would take to buy top-of-the-line software. It's hard because free stuff usually comes with ads.

I'm on the same boat as you. I won't ever pay for software. I'm a penny pincher.
If I can't find a completely free version, I'll opt for the free trial at least.

Wherever possible, yes. But I would rather pay $20 in DonateWare than hundreds for a program where I only use a fraction of the features.

My copy of DreamWeaver, for example, is quite old now and I likely will never buy an upgrade. I simply can't justify the cost to achieve something that can be done in Notepad.

What's DonateWare?

I just downloaded WYSIWYG and it's a dream. I wish I found it before PhotoShop or Paint.net

Free of course.

Basically, programs developed by independent developers or are open source. All they ask for is a donation, and that's usually optional.

Donations should always be optional.:P

I need to check that place out though. I'll probably find something I didn't know I was looking for.

Okay, I was only on my 2nd cup of coffee when I wrote that. Let it be known that I simply do not function correctly until the 3rd. lol

Definetly do not. I just use freeware (stuff that is free or has free trials)
