If its a new project, after every half an hour.. If its an old but active then maybe after 2-3 days..

too much for what? at least you know the performance of your site, and you know exactly what your user wants.

I check it around once a month. But, I think it is a better idea to use Mint or CrazyEgg to monitor stats since they are more informative

I Rarely check mine. Im really not interested on how many people are coming to my site.. lol Sounds weird but im really not..

I have been using CrazyEgg on my main blog. I'm honestly not too impressed by the stats. It does count the clicks and tells the "hot" areas on the site, but I don't find that so useful.

I use StatCounter and Google Analytics for my stats. These are a lot more informative!

I check a little less than once a day. I can review information for the day before. Plus, I'm more concerned in trends than daily activity. For example, I like graphs that show the activity for the whole month seperated by day.

My software only updates once a day, so checking more often than that is useless. I usually end up doing it as part of my morning routine.

Once a day. Any more is obsessive. Any less is lazy. I think that's the perfect balance.
