I had a project where the process would pretty much kill the server when too many people used the application. The application generated a PDF of peoples contacts. Sometimes this would be in the thousands and had a lot of information (thus bringing the server to its knees). I'll have to admit that I wasn't sure how to do this and when I implemented the queue it worked for a bit and now it's coming back to bite me in the arse. There has to be a better way to make this. I need a bullet proof queue.
What I need is a queue that would be like people standing in line to be served. If someone abandons their place in line then they could be taken out and the next individual would fill in their place and business goes on as usual. My experience is limited with this so any suggestions or help would be appreciated thanks aaron |
