If you are going to use this component to integrate Joomla! and SMF(1.1RC2), be sure to set up SEF before installing this. Since the component picks up the Forum URL automatically (and doesn't allow changes later without hacking the DB), the "Go to Forum on Login" function of this component will not work properly after switching to SEF URLs.
Okay, it's not a life saving tip, but I thought I would post something to get this area rolling. I wish I had more to post in here, but the Joomla!/SMF integration was very smooth... ;D

LOL... I forgot about that post.
The above wasn't an issue with my latest Joomla! 1.0.10 install. At the time I wrote that, it was on a Joomla! 1.0.9 setup. Perhaps the hiccup is solved. Still a good tip. I have now made the Search Engine Optimization enable one of the first things I do after a fresh install. Just saves that headache later...

It sounds like Joomla fixed this, but it's wise to add the SEF mod beforehand anyway. The SEF affects the URL of your forum, which affects a lot things, it's wise to do it early like StarLab.
