What do you use to record and analyze traffic? Do you just use what your host gives you? Do you have anything else to double check? Do you feel your stats are reliable?

I use a Linux host with a CPANEL site manager. So most often, I check its built site stat feature (i.e. AWSTAT, etc.) . I also use server based traffic analyzer like Statbrain.com - Tells you how many visitors any site really has .

I mainly use awstats, and sometimes check webalizer and analog stats. I graze through raw access logs and error logs sometimes too. I just go through Cpanel. I'm thinking about looking for a possibly better more complete and accurate solution with more information.

Well i offer awstats, webalizer, and analog stats to my users they're the most comprehensive and the best :)

I'm another fan of Awstats - highly informative and they produce results that are easy to interpret which is crucial when working with clients who aren't quite as comfortable with tables full of numbers.

Most hosts I've used offer all three though I've never really used anything else.

Personally I like Awstats and webalizer both. Very seldom do I need more information than they contain so I haven't really branched out from them in years.

I use awstats usually, although I have been told their stats include robots and such that crawl the site so it may not be as reliable as other software. Still I think they are pretty good and fairly accurate.

I use bot Awstats and Google analytics. I think Google analytics is better to use in further analyzing your traffic.

I use Awstats as well as Statcounter. Many of my sites do use Google Analytics as well.

I find that Awstats and Statcounter are the best for most of my sites.
