Use Zlib Compression to save Bandwidth

A quick method to save bandwidth when you are using PHP is to serve the pages compressed using the Zlib module of PHP.

Add the following code to your .htaccess file.

Quote:

<FilesMatch "\.(php|html?)$">
php_value zlib.output_compression 4096
</FilesMatch>

You can check if your site is being compressed and served at Web Page Analyzer
