Default Creating Subdomains

I'd like to create a subdomain, but as I understand it, my server has to do it for me (I don't run my own). What exactly is involved in this process?

This is usually done in the contol panel of your website. There should be a link to setup subdomains there.

If unsure, post back here, or call your hosting company.

unless off course it is free hosting then you will have to check with your package if you can it or not.. if not you have two options
1: beg for them to let you - doesnt normally work
2: upgrade to a paid package that allous sub domains

hope that helps as well

Are you using any control panel? If not let me know which OS are you using.

I assume he must have fixed this problem. Nonetheless, I'll point out that the control panel will allow the user to easily create a sub-domain. The only reason this wouldn't be the case is if the the host disabled the option or the user doesn't have a control panel.
