How can I get lure the kind of traffic I want?

I want to lure traffic to my site. Since I don’t sell anything in my site, I don’t need high converting traffic. I just need some interested in clicking my Ads. I run a community site, so if they join my site, its well and good. But, AD clicking is what I need most. Pls help me.

What methods are you currently trying in order to bring people to your website? Have you run any special promotions to bring people to the community?

Success is often brought to community sites via offering somthing unique and original. Somthing that sets your site apart from your competitiors even.
Offering different services or similar services to your competitors but with a twist for example same service but cheaper then your compeitor with the complimentary cuddly toy.
Promotions that encourage activity with rewarding aspects also are good to encourage activity.

A section that have links for free stuff that your targeted visitors might like is one good idea.
Sections that only work with visitors is another good one " articles section", blogging section" that your visitors will write and resopnd to each other.

You can do some Search Engine Optimization work on your own. Also submit to directories related to the topic of your website. Submit to search engines, promote site in forums but only as allowed by forum rules.

Buy advertising from sites that is relevant to your main topic of discussion

You can do a ton of contests that give away things. Reffering contests work the best.

Well I don't about traffic but if you wnat the users you have to start clicking then spice up the ads move to differen tplaces each week or month and see which they click the most. Try different blending techniques and such. After all if you get more traffic doesn't necessarly mean more clicks.

I wouldn't think it's worth it to pay for ads, because your source of income is ads. How can you get more money than you pay that way?
