I use one service like backlinks.com to have some high Page Ranking links. But most of the time I submit and find sites offering some free submission.

From what I know directories are a good way of building up a lot of backlinks fast... With the free directories it is more of a numbers game over quality but the more you do the more likely some of them will be good back links.

I locate sites that I feel are relevant and have a high enough Page Ranking and then either offer them a trade (not a link exchange but a free product from my site in exchange for a link) or pay them for a link.

This has been the best way for me to get high value back links!

I like to write about other sites and tell about how much I like them, and they tend to link back in an article of their own linking to my article, my site or if I'm lucky both.

1) do you research on sites that fall in your niche. contact them and see if they are interested in link exchanging with you.

2) set up link exchange threads on web master forums and get a campaign going for your site. try to set up a good place for the links to go on your home page.

3) look for site wide link backs and not buried pages.

4) pick a good keyword term for your anchor and stick with it.

5) the more linking back you get the better. it wont hurt to buy a few links on some high Page Ranking sites if you can get a good deal.

Honestly, just link liberally. When you talk about something, link to it. When something gives you an idea, link to it. Everybody likes links and a lot of the time they're returned.

There are many great ways on how to build links for your website and many have been mentioned already in this thread. Please be careful however not to get too many inbound links to your website all of a sudden as this could trip some spam filers with the search engines.

If you need high Page Ranking links then add your site in directories or just ask for links from other webmaster . Most will give it if you give them a link in return.
