Guys need your help very badly on this. I am very much new to Oracle and I have got two machines, which are interconnected and I am trying to install the Oracle 9i on these two machines based on client-server architecture. But I have not been able to do so as yet.
The biggest of my problem is that I don’t know what problems I am facing. Though, the SQL* Plus runs very properly on the machines individually, but I am not being able to do it through the "Host String" parameter, when I am trying to access the database on another machine. And I've not been able to set my "Oracle Internet Directory" and "Create a new Repository" either. How should I determine the Port Number of my system through which the client and database server are glint to interact. Let me know about it ASAP. Thanx. jordan |
