Well, I'm sure many have posted here about this, but I used flashmx a little bit and made stupid maze games, and I want to make something..."worth playing" My only experience is copying commands from this Flash site and pasting them so I made a maze game. I heard that C++ was a good one for games, also Java, but I also heard Java limits you, in a way. I know nothing of each, and My library has a Java and C++ book so if ya'll can kind of post Pro's and Con's of each what each can do, I personally want to create "shooter games" kind of, 2d, 3d anything to begin. Any help will be greatly appreciated :)

I think to learn about game programming you should familiar with java..because most of the game programming is composed from java..C++ and graphic is also good to work with..I think you should also go for that..
