I can tell you that I've worked with mysql for countless years and Oracle probably for two years. When it comes down to it, Oracle is very unique in that, if you can afford it and need it, then it's worth every penny. It certainly does things most db's can't. Ultimately, it comes down to the need. For example, not everyone needs predictive bit level repair but if you, it's worth every cent.

yeah Oracle is very costly because it is a wide range database,,all the companies and in business fields, this data base is used because of high security and due to its uniqueness too..all databases are made in this database and with additional features..

Oracle is designed for business. Its target market is big firms which require a robust and secured database application. The cost also factors in the support in using the application. For big business firms, acquiring an application like Oracle is still cheaper than the risk of losing valuable data and information.

It is enterprise based. Use of this database requires good support thus it also entails considerable cost. It is such a powerful database and highly secured which can serve the best interests of the enterprise group where information is an invaluable commodity.

Im kind of confused. What exactly is oracle. Is it another database type like mysql or a database storage type like phpmyadmin.

The Oracle is only suitable for those entreprises or big companies that would like to develop high and quality bit level repairs, as it will save us from the troubles...
Thus, you won't need it if you're only owns a small company. |
