Hello firend
I have a question about gmail. When I recieve new email from AJAX,Without any refresh it shows me I recieve new email and number of add one to number of email in inbox. I want to know how gmail do that?Please explain completely by code.I've searched this but stil.... When we use AJAX,User does something ,And after user did an action on interface ,then interface will change,But in this case it shows me without any refresh or without any action on interface,Please know ne if you know any tutorial about this case. I search and ask about " ajax push methods " ,It seems when we use that we cann't close connection,But that can cause problems - sometimes the page won't seem to fully load, and other problems, May you give me more points and reference about that? 2-Do you know about "Push methods"?May you give me exapmle about them? Thanks in advance |

I can't say I do know how they do it. My best guess is that those few parts are on an infinite loop of refreshing. Either way you can check out this whitepaper I found that maybe can tell you how it truly works:

AJAX isn't a new program language it is just a way of using Javascript to pre-fetch and pre-send information without the browser needing to refresh. With Google maps, when you scroll the map, the form has already retrieved the side maps so there is little or no waiting.
It is pretty sweet technology that most vendors are going to implement into their web development environments soon. |

yeah its a very interesting information that you have given,,but Im not familiar with the code....google has a very technilogy loaded site and giving us with a number of facilities..so their work is just amazing..but how they do so..I don't know but really want to know..
