Databases need to be backed up frequently, because you never know what could happen to the database. And, in most cases, the data in the databases is updated continuously.
How often do you back-up your databases? |

i don't maintain my own database but at work (before), DBs are backed up everyday. depending on the server (exchange, ms sql, etc), we have different sched backups and run different types of backups.

I back them up on an average once in two weeks.

only once in two weeks? what if a person has deleted a file on tuesday that she has created on monday morning and you only back up wednesday and friday?
