Hi. I'm about to embark on a major article submission project that I hope I can keep up on a consistent basis. I always publish original articles which I wrote myself. I always write articles from the ground up.
My question is: In my resource box, do I link straight to my homepage or to a page specifically targeted by the link text in my resource box? For instance, if the link text in my resource box says "web conferencing", do I link straight to a page of mine about web conferencing? My concern here is chances are I'm going to link to a page of mine that is identical to the article submitted itself, unless of course I modify the article on my site or vice versa which would entail more work on my part. I don't mind working but I get the feeling there's a better way. Or would it be fine to just link to the homepage so that the visitor could get a bird's eye view of what my website is all about? My only concern here is it won't be as targeted as the first option. I'm sort of torn between the two approaches. Which one is the correct way or am I all wrong to begin with? I need your help. Thank you very much. thanks jason |

It depends on whether you want to use these articles to get your Search Engine Optimization up otr your traffic up. If SEO then link to your main page as the resulting links will increase your Page Ranking. But if you want more traffic link it to relevant topics. That way you capture a user's attention and they keep browsing your site.
Thank You

I usually go for the homepage. I assume that the people can find what they want from there. This works for me because most article directories keep my resource box on file so every time I submit an article I can use that standard resource box. So, I don't make a specific one for every article.
