I use mostly just search engine methods. I dont spend alot on PPC, around $50/month on Adwords.
I am thinking of signing up at CJ as well to get some affiliates for my product from there.

I'm doing link advertising, I'm getting ready to sumbit to free article sites with link targeted ads in each one, I'm using ping services and tagging with delicious and technorati, and social bookmarking
