Hi Southy23
I'm assuming this is a MySQL database. If so, then try: MySQL AB :: MySQL Administrator Works like a charm. I have used this many times with no problems. You can either restore entire databases, or select the tables you wish to restore. I actually used this to carry over a Mambo 4.5.3 userbase to Joomla! 1.0.10. Some table editing was required - mos_ to jos_ for example, but if you are going to the same software, this will not be an issue. Hope that helps.

Is that simple even when the board software will have been upgraded? Or is the database not changed by new software? What about if the new board records the database information differently, such as having different tables?
