Default Php 5.0?

PHP 5.x has been out for some time, why are so many services like plesk and apps not compatible?

Most applications don't require many upgrades to be compatible and the majority of servers haven't upgraded yet. BTW did php 5.x fix their handling of asian characters? Thats been an ongoing problem for me..

I don't think that they fixed that. I've heard its going to be part of the far flung 6 update.

I just switched to a new server in December, this one's running Apache 1.3.37, Perl 5.8.7, PHP 5.2.0 and MySQL 5.0.27. Some of my PHP scripts didn't work for a while because of some changes, but I managed to fix the problems pretty quickly.
