I never thought I would live to see the day that Microsoft would give up a legal battle before it even begins, but I guess I was wrong.

First it was Google that the French and German newspapers went after for publishing snippets of news stories in search results. Now they taste blood and want MSN. But unlike Google, MSN has decided to throw in the towel and surrender.

That's kind of odd for Microsoft isn't it?

well if they have many things in mind and other important things to do then ofcourse they would just give up on that. they have many more things to do than google has, and 1 case shouldnt matter anyway.

Don't think ive ever heard of the old Microsoft giving up without a fight before. Maybe they think they have already achieved world domination and there is no need to fight anymore :P

well this shows one thing, they are a good target for sony sony seems to sue however gets in their way, but enough off topic. i think they just didnt want to waste time and money when they knew that they had done something wrong?

Google is popular and very powerful, it doesn't surprise me, also Microsoft have the money and can easily get out of these things.

I was expecting this from them. they have really degraded their image and reputation in market already and giving up without any fight have degraded their reputation even more.
