Absolute or relative?

I'm new at this... When folks talk about increasing the number of links within their site, are they talking about making all the links absolute? In other words, should all the links within my own site pointing back to my own homepage be myhomepagetitlehere.com?

Hmm good question.
Generally mine aren't absolute but it does make sense to make them absolute.
Im wondering if there is an Search Engine Optimization advantage to this, does anyone know?
