Thanks for the welcome. Ill repost my details here so anyone I don't know can know me.

Hey Everyone

My name is Jamie Lewis and I am a student living in the UK due to start a degree in Computer Science next year. In my spare time, which I have lots of, I do alot of web and program development.

I know several languages including XHTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP, C++ and Java. I have also done many projects based on XML, XSL and DTD.

I am an avid campaigner for Web Standards and so dont be suprised if I scream at anyone for using bad markup ;D.

I am currently working on several projects including Jamie Lewis - About Me - my portfolio site. Idevs - Blog - my soon to be devlog/experimental site.

Apart from thoughs I am also working on an instant messanger client as part of the Devhat Instant Messanger community project and have just finished developing a POS system in php/mysql.

So thats me, hope I can be of help and vice versa

Hi Everyone,

Just figured I would stop by and introduce myself.

I'm self taught in web design, and learning everyday. I mod several forums, and own one of my own on Fibromyaliga. Which needs a bit of work on it. It has been moved several times and the board itself has changed in the software runing it a few times.

I have learned css, xhtml, graphics, and am in the process of learning php, Search Engine Optimization and totally more on css and graphical and digital.

I totally love web design, and at the present am only doing moderate template work.

I have 5 wonderful children from the ages of 13-24

I choose to learn web design after not being able to work out of the home. I initially started so that I could sell hand made crafts online since I could no longer do craft shows. However, once I got into learning hand coding, well I was immediatly hooked on it.

I totally love working with digital photos and have a ton of them on my pc and on discs of my family and nature things. I'm trying to learn how to work the video stuff as well for vido's that I take that need to go on to a disc.

So that is me. Not much, but me ;)

Well two of the 5 are married, one moved out I have 2 at home. So its not as much work as when all 5 were home when I started this treck!

It has been a long treck learning but one well worth it. All 5 were at home when I started this. Then my oldest was in Iraq twice, so worries were abounding and the learning process helped occupy my mind.

And they are proud of their mom who when we first got the computer did not even know what to do with an email, now she is hand coding pages, lol.
