I suppose I should plop down my intro here. It seems most members don't bother with it, so I might as well step out of the norm and try and break the ice a little.

My name is Eric, as you probably guessed, and I am with out a doubt a complete forum junkie. I can see my wife rolling her eyes now, she's probably thinking "another forum?"

Seriously, I just hit 50,000 posts webwide, a record that when I first started posting in internet forums I NEVER imagined I would come anywhere close to. Alas, I've hit the mark and now I'm aiming for 100,000.

Crazy? Insane? Some might like to think so, but I love it. I'm hooked. What other lines of work can you actually build a network of people to do business with, both clients and service providers, without even leaving your recliner?

Yes, the Internet is where the action is, and I'm here to stay.

A little about myself seems to be in order. I'm 26 years old. I pretty much blog for a living, and a pretty good one at that. Blogging is an addiction I suffer from and if anyone knows how to become even more addicted, please drop me a PM. ;)

In my senior year of high school I was ready to join the Air Force, only to be told I couldn't. I took the ASVAB, went through all the riggermaroo (is that a word?), and then when I got to MEPS in Sacramento I was declined because I have a finger that won't bend. Talk about bummed! So instead I bought a passport and a plane ticket to London because as I understood it you could drink yourself silly at the age of 18. Where do I sign up!

I ended up traveling around the world for a few years, and what a trip that was. When I finally settled down I somehow landed a job in the online marketing departement of a major US Bank. It didn't take me long to grasp the idea that there is an ENORMOUS amount of money to be made online. I mean... WOW! So, I quit my job and decided to never work for anyone again. NEVER!

And I haven't to this day. :)

I started off by writing travel articles and keeping them on free travel journal sites, then moved on to freelance writing for several large Internet companies. By the way, if you think those hotel reviews are from real people... think again. ;|

Since then it has gotten better with each new day, and now I get to sit around and post to blogs for a living. My wife gets jealous, but I've tried to get her into it several times. I think she, like many others, is just afraid to let go and just do it. Oh well, different strokes for different folks.

Anyways, last year I was able to open up an LLC in Nevada and now life is pretty much gravy. I post to blogs, then I post to forums. It's my daily routine now. I dig it.

So here I am. Someone shot this link my way and it looks like a pretty sound place to hang out.

Glad to be here. Hopefully I'll be able to fit in and make myself at home.
