Yes, that is true. Of course, HostGator - like many hosts - may take advantage of the fact that most clients don't use up the alloted space. So, while they may be overselling, nobody notices as it seems that they are not.

For me the most important thing is bandwidth, but i also look for reputation. I firm i am working with should be reputated. Money back offer if given is the second best offer you can get.

I always check if it can host unlimited domains and also the bandwidth. Then check for the support.

My basic idea is about More Disk space, Support,Uptime and then comes its cost.
