I would always prefer for a paid hosting on my sites. There's no guarantee on free host coz they might not stay for a longer time especially if they can't recover their costs.

They probably won't stay free but if you're willing to go with a paid host and you're satisfied with your free host, why not stay with the free host?

It ultimately depends on your needs. If you just need a personal website that is viewable by only a small number of people, a free host is the way to go. If you're hosting like a forum, I'd say a paid host is the way to go.

Paid hosting is much more stable, but it comes at a price (hehe). But I think it is always worth it, because rebuilding a complete site that has disappeared doesn't seem a lot of fun to me.

If you want to have a good hosting service then you should go for paid hosting and if you are developing any of your websites then i think that you should go for free host. AS paid host have more reliability and quality then a free host.

I always prefer to go for free hosting rather than paid. As some sites I have been using are offering better service with free hosting when compared to the paid hosting guys out there who charge a hell lot of money for smaller businesses like me.

Paid hosting is better because it's paid hosting. You pay for all those extra add-ons free hosting can't provide.
