Why is there such hatred for GoDaddy?

I am just wondering why there is so much hatred amoung the web master community for GoDaddy? I keep seing lots of posts on how GoDaddy sucks and sites that are just about how bad they are... is it that they unreliable or are people just jealous that they offer such cheap prices?

No they do not offer as cheap prices. I have seen better prices. I think the reason is because godaddy is becoming too huge and customer service is beggining to dwindle.

It's normal. Typically first a company like that is loved, then liked, then hated.

My Web Design teacher recommended me GoDaddy, but I decided to go for a cheaper company at the time, which wasn't too bad. I used Yahoo, then switched to 1and1, and now I'm using Host Gator. As for hatred, most complaints I've heard had to do with domains. Apparently they have problems managing your domain.

Godaddy is mainly a domain registrar. The facts are, their domain business is loved and excellant and their hosting is poor and hated and for good reason to. They donot have Cpanel, they do not make backups, they do not provide very good support, these are the reasons their hosting prices are so cheap...their not worth it.

The rasons for hatred are many like their services are poor, they are not that cheap as people think they are and website is right they dont create any backups and dont have CPanels. There are other cheaper sites offering better services.

I have read about positive feedbacks from Godaddy, what I don't want from them was hosting features which is only for experienced webmasters.

I think they do not offer as cheap prices and their services are poor. I used Yahoo as its prices were cheaper and i am quite satisfied with it.

Godaddy is best for .info domains all the others are quite expensive though
but still if your looking for a .info domain godaddy is best its like 61 pence or something including the tax

GoDaddy is old in the market but to me Namecheap is good and less expensive.
