I think you guys already know about the offshore hosting. There are lots of offshore hosting available in the market with good quality. Like Hong Kong Based, India Based, China Based, Australia Based. I have tried them out and having good experience.

What about you guys? Do you have any experience with offshore hosting?

Offshore hosting means those hosting doesn't belongs to US or UK.
If you want to get Hong Kong based hosting then you should check out rtgasia.

I have tried a hong kong hosting once and they were really good, they have so many services for little prices, but still I think they have lack in experience.

Well, I'm still sticking to US Servers. As for Indian hosting... its way to expensive as of now... and I don't know how much of a guarantee of uptime is there...

Are their any legal benefits to offshore hosting? I mean, if your site is hosted offshore, can you then work without abiding by domestic laws?

The U.S. is turning more and more into a police state everyday...

Good question. I think that's one of the points of offshore hosting...like an offshore bank account--you can hide it and not have to abide by rules.
I'm not sure what happens in the case of serious crimes though. I'd be interested to find out....
