I will show you how to make a 3x3 px Dot Overlay Pattern.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) Create a New 3x3 px Document and set the Background Contents to Transparent. 2) Zoom in all the way (1600%) and you should see this: ![]() 3) Take out your Pencil Tool and select a color. Put a dot in the middle like this: ![]() 4) Now go to Edit --> Define Pattern and save it as what you want. 5) Open the graphic you want it on, I'll use this: ![]() 6) Create a New Layer and drag it over to where you want the dots. Go to Edit --> Fill and use these settings: Use: Pattern Custom Pattern: The thing we just created Mode: Normal Opacity: 40% Preserve Transparency: Un-Checked You should now see something like this: ![]() Enjoy! |
