what software should i use in order to open a .MOV file?

I have .mov files, video clips that i captured last new year, and heck i can't open it on the PC. so as the question says, how can i open such and what software should i use?

Little tip, get Quicktime Pro and you'll be able to do alsorts with your MOV files, edit them in many different ways, its not as good as iMovie for the Mac but its similar.

Try also VLC player. This is a free player. So far in my experience, VLC is capable of running video files which could not be played by popular video players.

Alternatively you can try MPCstar. This is also a free video player. It can also play quite a number of videos in different format. What I like about this player is that it has a playlist feature which you can use for multiple videos.

I would suggest you VLC player, its the best among all multimedia players.
Almost 99% of the formats are supported by VLC.

.MOV format is for Apple's Quicktime player but if you dont want to install different players to open different video format install K-Lite COdec pack and VLC player.

Using the combination of these two you can open most of the popular video formats that are available today.
