I just wanted to know how often does google update the Page Rank of the page.
My blog has been indexed in google but not got a Page Ranking even i have some backlinks.

i have heard that its once per 3-4 months ?

Yes, it's usually quarterly...

The last one was in January, so expect the next one in March or April...

They don't have an exact date. Something with the way they plan their algorithm. It could be in march or it could be in july. Unpredictable just like google.

I think last year there was a period of about 5-6 months that went by without an update.

By keeping us in the dark, it prevents site owners from doing a last minute push to achieve better ranking. This way, we always need to be working toward achieving a better Page Ranking.

Well they actually have to work a lot hardern nowadays. They try to penalize anyone that is caught buying links or things like linkfarms and such. There job gets harder and harder to provide users with accurate page rank.

It used to be every three months but now it's whenever they damn well please.
The three month updates are for the toolbar though. The datacenters are always being updated...
