Some people say that Page Ranking is not very important. Of course traffic and direct income generated from the site is by far more important, but the higher is your PR, the more you can charge for text links or any other ads. So weather you work hard for your PR or not, it DOES have weight and direct effect on your site's revenue. dont u think?

I keep seing people say don't focus on Page Ranking but while not the only important thing in the Search Engine Optimization world it is a very good indicator of your sites value and progress. I always keep my eye on uping my Page Rank!

Well, thing is I have lots of sites, one of them PR4 and has about 2k monthly traffic, other is PR3 and gets up to 5k daily!
Yet the links on Page Ranking still bring in more, only because of the PR. Myself i never paid for ads on particular PR, only sites that provide actual traffic, but for most people PR is everything...

it is still important especially for monetizing site, there are thousands of webmasters and advertisers looking for site Page Ranking rather than traffic, but High PR + High Traffic = Money.

It is absolutely true but I feel Search Engine Result Pages are much more important than Page Ranking. Though with higher PR we can sell links on blog or websites and earn some revenue from it. But I prefer SERP over PR.

you can also sell link on your site based on traffic not just on Page Ranking.

yes, of course traffic alone does count, but only for those who buys a link in order to generate traffic for his site, not to improve the ranking, and mostly people prefer to pay for Page Ranking, not direct traffic. of course it's best to have both, but eh...errrr...lol

I would like to point out however that a high Page Ranking does not automatically mean good placement in the SERPS. I have low PR websites that out perform much higher PR websites in the Google SERPS and I have high PR websites that perform horribly in the search engine results.
