Intrested in google adsense

however I am wondering if you have to pay for an account? Also, is it easy to set up an adsense account? How much do you generally earn with an adsense account?

Adsense is for publishers. Google pays you for ad clicks and you don't have to pay for signups. Generally, just submit a site to Google for approval and they'll approve you soon. After that, just paste the code they generate and start optimising (the toughest part) your site for the Google ads to blend in.

As for how much they pay, it varies a lot. Some pay for the house mortgages with Adsense and some earn barely enough for their pocket money. It depends on your niche and how well you optimise it. I'm still learning after 2 years of adsense :)

@lisah Adsense is free & it'll hardly take a day or 2 to get an account ..

My average adsense revenue is a little over 1000 dollars as I'm currently into making no profit sites. (Give back time to the society). I have been with adsense for two years and my highest ever monthly adsense income has been 4800 dollars.
