I. Consider my talents, skills, knowledge, etc
II. Utilizing above think of potential businesses I could run
III. Research the competition in these industries
IV. Pinpoint the marketing niche
V. Decide how to promote business to the new target market

You definately need a business plan, and some way to fund it.
