Hi all,
I have been browsing in the forums for awhile and I saw that many recommendations about testimonial as an effective marketing method. I'm just wondering about how you guys obtain testimonies from you customers to put on our website. Is it through email, phone, or mail? And when would it be the best time to ask? I have a group of loyal customers but I'm not sure how to ask them for testimonies... Thanks everyone! Erik |

The best way is to get feedback from your customers whenever you sell your service. Pick the possitive notes as your testimonials for your product/service and use the negative comments, to improve the quality of your product/service.

Just remember to ask permission from the customer you grab a testimonial off. Some wont mind, others will. Most people will openly give you a testimonial if you ask politely and if they would mind.

Ditto to monkeyhead. I listed my partners, people we actually have contracts and pay money to and one of them flipped out. So, while one would think any Page Ranking is good PR, not everyone likes that.

I've generally had a bad experience in asking for testomonials after work has been completed - there is nothing in it for customers unless they really love you and have the time to write one.
One think I tried which does work, however, is to offer a discount if they provide a testomonial. Works every time - even if it is just $5 - $10. |
