Default What Makes A Business Logo Recognizable?

Is it the logo itself? the quality of the art work? the colors or font? Why in the world do we all know the McDonalds logo? or Nike? or Coke?

Could it possibly be the billions of dollars spent on putting that logo in front of the public eye?

What do you think ?

Here's an interesting story. Back when Nike was a struggling company, they paid an artist $35 to make their logo, which is now recognizable worldwide. The logo’s not the issue. Its how you market and brand yourself with it.

A business Logo is like a goodwill for a business. This is the market value of a business entity not directly attributable to its assets and liabilities. Some companies putting alot of efforts and time to build up thier business goodwill.

Yeah, the logo is not the issue here. It is on how well you do your business. The logo is important to a business but that doesn't run the business, its the marketing, sales and other stuff that does it.

but advertising billions on it can also play a good role

u should have a good logo to show it to the world.
It should be simple, and a combination of good colours fonts and all u said.

And marketing is a very important part, may be the most important part.

The concept of the logo is what makes it recognizable. Don't neccesarily have pictures in it, just make the text a way so that it will make them remember your logo and it will stand out (in a good way).

Your logo is your front. From a stranger's point of view, it tells something about your service. While your customers' testimonials make a better yard stick on the kind of product or service you offer, it pays to have a good logo because it makes a good impression about your business.

Another thing is that if you are trying to make a logo try to make it with only 2 or 3 letter max and the rest with design. Try to make the letters look like pictures that represent the business. Anything that reminds the consumers about the business that is in the logo is always a positive.

It should be striking. The logo must speak about the business. The simpler the logo, the better.
