At the pre-E3 conference at Sony Studios, both the price of the PS3 and the release date are confirmed.
The PS3 comes in two configurations in terms of hard drives: a 20-gig hard drive and a 60-gig hard drive. The 20 will cost $499 and the 60 will cost $599, and it will ship on the 11th in Japan and the 17th in the US (both in November) - apparently, the no-regional-encode idea went through alright. Well i absolutely love the PlayStation range, never been a big fan of Xbox but i think PlayStation are a bunch of complete and utter fools if they are planning a price range like that, they should of known they were already up for some stiff competition against the Xbox 360, so why they go and come up with prices like that is just plain stupid.

Man use are all lucky, over here in aussie for a 20 gb its $699 and for a 60gb its $999 its ridiculous
